How to become a Jesus Freak

Well, as you have surely recognised, this is about two words:
Jesus and Freak. Many who know us tend to forget this. But it is very, very important. Being a Jesus Freak is a lifestyle.
To be a Freak means to be crazy, a bit flipped out, mad. Freaks are people who are more likely to swim against the tide, who want to be different. In this respect, every real christian is a Jesus Freak.

Jesus is the ultimate and most important part of this whole thing. If you`re not sure whether you are a christian or not it is quite likely that you aren`t, because you know such things. Jesus is the center of your life. You have Him as your friend who lives with you, no matter what you do or where you are. The bible says that there is a center in everybody called 'your heart'. It is like a nerve centre, a processor, the captain's seat, like in a spaceship. Most the time, your ego sits on this. You decide where to go. You may even pray or go to church from time to time. But Jesus says: "This is not enough for me; I want to sit in the capatin's seat and steer your spaceship!" Maybe you`re afraid to do this, which is understandable, but it`s worth while trusting Him. He knows your life in detail and knows best what`s really good for you. Actually there is only one rule for becoming a Jesus Freak: Jesus becomes the boss of your life. And this decision can only be taken voluntarily by you! The only thing that can hinder you from taking this step foreward is pride: "I can do it on my own. I don`t need any help, forgiveness and love." With this attitude you are lying to yourself. Jesus wants the best for your life and that is even better than the good things we already have.

Jesus,

I want to risk a life with You. From now on you shall be the boss of my life. Forgive me that up till now I have lived without you. Forgive me for the things I have done in my life which hurt You, others and myself. Please take everything away that is between You and me and come into my heart. I admit that I need You and that I can`t live without you. I thank You that You take me seriously and hear me now, and will never leave me alone.
